Culture Day was a great success this year. The concert dancing was amazing. Miss Jade and Aunty Vik did a wonderful job preparing our students for the dancing. A special mention goes to the staff who did their own dancing choreography.
I would like to thank all of the teachers and Miss A for the Sladey Artist Art Work in the library. Mr Bailey did a fantastic job on the grounds. Mrs Beros organised the food for our community, staff and students.
Aunty Waveney, Aunty Vik and Chappy Peter for their tireless work around preparing for Culture Day. Thank you to all of our community who helped on the day. Krista Bagley and Devan Brown assisted with painting our snake under A Block. Pioneer High School, KMG and Mrs Geiger, MFC and it was wonderful to have Aunty Fi back at Slade Point State School,

Road Safety REMINDERS. All students need to wear bike helmets if they are riding to school. Please help all students to be safe on the roads by supporting this very important safety message.
Thank you to all staff who are giving some explicit teaching reminders in classrooms around Road Safety this week.

Culture Day
CULTURE DAY 2023
A massive thank you to our wonderful staff, volunteers and community for coming together and being involved in our annual Culture Day last Thursday. Everyone had their favourite part of the day whether it was the concert in the morning, the food at lunch or the activities during the day, people seemed to be smiling and enjoying themselves everywhere we looked.
A huge shout out to Mrs Beros for co-ordinating the lunch with her supporters in the kitchen, you ladies did a wonderful job making sure the food was sufficiently dispersed to all our food areas. Also, to the families who bought in a plate of food to be shared – thank you!
To our community businesses for coming into our school and hosting activities for our kids, they really enjoyed themselves so thank you for being a big part of their day.
A huge hug and thanks to our awesome guest speaker Aunty Vic who affectionately dedicated the day to her parents, Mr & Mrs Irelandes, Nana Ramsamy, and past staff member Kate Surha.
It was a lovely and fitting tribute – FOR OUR ELDERS.
Finally, to our past students and current students for your awesome support, notable behaviour and great participation throughout the day...
THANK YOU - YOU’RE ALL JUST TOO DEADLY!!!!
