A Message from the Principal

Welcome to week 10!

Congratulations to all of our staff and students for an amazing Christmas concert. Thank you to the P and C, Miss Kay and Miss Jade for all of your support on the night. Mr Bailey prepared the grounds and Mrs Henderson helped with the program and running of the concert.

We wish our year 6 students all the best for high school next year. The year 6 Graduation will be tonight at the Surf Club.

Our Awards Morning was another success. The staff and students should be very proud of the opportunities, success and achievements realised this year. Thank you to parents and staff who support students to achieve their very best.

Ukulele group who will perform at Mackay North Bunnings- 7^th December 2023. Children are to meet Mrs Henderson at the entrance to the Bunnings Store between 6:00 pm and 6:15 to perform at 6:30 pm.

Please note the reminders below: -

Retirement Celebration for Aunty Vik and Mrs Ikupu – week 10, Thursday 7^th December, 4 pm. Venue: - Slade Point Bowls Club;
Year 6 Graduation-week 10 - Wednesday evening 6th December (Mackay Surf Club) 6:30 pm $17.50 per person Dinner and Dessert;
Sladey Celebration Day-week 10, 7^th December, Colour Run.
8^th December on the last day of school (Petting Zoo); Classes will rotate through on the day;
Report Cards sent home-week 10, 7^th December;
A short assembly will be held in the UCA on Friday the 8th December to farewell our year 6 students, Mrs Tasi (on her maternity leave), Mrs Ikupu and Aunty Vik. This short assembly will start at 2:40 pm. There will be some holiday safety messages relayed as well.

Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to wish the staff, community and students a wonderful Christmas and may you have a happy, healthy and successful New Year. It is a special time when family and friends get together. I hope your travels over the holidays will be safe. Thank you for your support this year.
