Principal messages
As mentioned, we have a very busy term.
Our Book Fair will run from Monday 4th of November to Friday 8th November. This is a wonderful opportunity to buy some gifts as we are leading into Christmas.
Students Returning 2025 - We are asking parents to provide information to assist our school plan for the 2025 school year. A survey note will be sent home over the coming days please fill out and return to class teacher. Please let your child’s classroom teacher know should your circumstances change in the next few months for 2025.
Basketball with our amazing ATSICH Mentors will be returning for our Year 2 and Year 3 students. This will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday again for 5 weeks. The basketball will start in week 3.
Thank you to Uncle Patrick for his work with our students in preparation for Awakening Spirits. Please ensure you purchase tickets for Awakening Spirits. This free event is on October 17th at the MECC.
We are very excited about the visit from the Pioneer State High School Concert Band. They will be playing at 9 am on Friday 11th in the hall. All parents and carers are welcome.
Chappy Peter and Aunty Wave are busy organising book packs. Families will be notified about the book packs later in the term.

Prep Parent Information Session - Thursday 14th November 9:00-9:30. Prep students for 2025 are invited to our whole school transition morning on November 26th times are confirmed as 9:30-10:30 am. Meet at the UCA at 9:20 am with your parents and go to your new classroom. Booklists will be handed out.
Orientation Day Term 4, Week 9
Tuesday, 26th of November
8:30 am to 2:30 pm
* All 2025 Year 7 students who are enrolled to attend Pioneer State High school are invited to a full day of Orientation. PARENTS PROVIDE TRANSPORT to and from Pioneer State High School.
Adjusted Date for week 10, 3rd December Canelands and Lagoon, term 4 – Tuesday year 5 and year 6;
Adjusted Date for week 11, 12th December – due to the swimming carnival being on in week 11 there will be no colour run in term 4;
Save these dates: - Check Facebook posts from the school and P and C. Always ask your child’s teacher if you are unsure about events in the school (dates, times and venue). Check with staff on duty in the mornings at the UCA. Check with staff at the pickup gates each afternoon.

If your child arrives at school after 8:45 they will need to enter via the office to collect a late slip.
Student Accounts:
Please pay all accounts as soon as possible. Student Resource Scheme invoices are overdue. Part payments are welcome.

PREP ENROLMENT FOR 2025
If your child was born between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, you need to start thinking about which school your child will attend next year.
Please enrol your child now.

Our upcoming bookfair is fast approaching! If you're looking for some stocking stuffers, this is the place to come..... Mrs Bishop looks forward to viewing the wish lists of all of our students.
Halloween Alternative
The Light Party is a Free Community Event held at the Blue Water Quay on the 31st of October as an alternate to Halloween.
Dress up as your favourite light-hearted, positive character & complete a passport of fun activities with the kids!! The activities are based around a historical figure, Martin Luther who lived in the 1500s. You will learn about his life and faith and how he was used to bring the light to the medieval dark ages. Join us for a whole bunch of fun and celebration!
