Welcome to Week 10!
I would like to invite all parents, community and carers to our Special Week 11 Parade. This will be held in the hall at 8:45 am. This is to celebrate the upcoming retirement of Mrs Janelle Alexander.
We will also be acknowledging the staff who are leaving our wonderful school. Our year 6 students will be involved in a small thank you presentation as well.
I would like to congratulate all of our students, who were so well behaved at the Awards Ceremony on Monday. It was a very special morning of celebration. Thank you to Mrs Reck, who worked tirelessly to organise this ceremony.
Book lists were handed out last Tuesday, at the orientation morning. They are also on our school web site and at four of the main news agencies.
I would like to thank the P and C for opening the uniform shop on the 24th January 2025. This will be to assist parents who are doing an early book drop off.
Report Cards will be handed out in Week 11. This is the last week of term four. The last day of the term is December 13th. School will be operating as normal for week 11. All students will be working with different classes to participate in various end of year learning activities.
Parents are kindly requested to notify the office about any extenuating circumstances, that may require early pick up of a report card. The school can prepare report cards for early pick up on Thursday December the 5th.
Chappy Peter and Aunty Wave are busy organising book packs. Families will be notified about the book packs via sms. The Student Council will be supporting the packing of book packs. Thank you to Miss Causon and the Student Council.
Christmas Concert: - The gates will open at 5 pm on the 5th December. Gates open at 5:00 pm. Concert starts at 5:15 pm.
It is rains on the Thursday the concert will be held in our extensive hall.

We are asking parents to provide information to assist our school plan for the 2025 school year. Please let your child’s classroom teacher know should your circumstances change in the next few weeks for 2025.

4th December, Term 4, week 10 – Sladey Celebration Day “Petting Zoo”;
4th December, term 4, week 10- Year 6 Graduation Ceremony Surf Club (staff, parents or carers and graduating year 6 student to attend only). Student Council has paid for each ticket of the graduating year 6 student. The Graduation Ceremony starts at 6:30 pm. Students and families are invited to take photos from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

Late Slips - If your child arrives at school after 8:45am, they will need to enter via admin to collect a late slip.
Please pay all accounts as soon as possible. All SRS fees are now overdue.

Please stay safe over the holidays and be aware of anyone trying to enter the school grounds during this time. Security is a community concern and we ask that you report any suspicious activity to the police.

Last night we celebrated our Year 6 Graduation. The boat has been left with handprints representing our year 6 students moving on and leaving their mark!!
