Year 4's Environmental Day
On Wednesday, 4A had a visit with Sophie from Envirocom and Rachel from Reef Catchments. They did a lesson with us about food waste where we found out that in Australia, we waste $8 billion of food which goes to landfill! Then in the afternoon, we completed a waste audit with their help where we organised the waste that we had collected from around the school. We were shocked to find how many pieces of single use plastic we had collected in one day and the number of zip lock bags that people had put straight in the bin!
